Copeland Update

I have just had a phone call with Cate Harding, Peterborough City Council official with responsibility for community centres.
She has told me the council will use its very best endeavours to ensure the Copeland Centre is not closed, even for a short period during a change of management.
She says a number of interested parties have come forward to run the centre and the bidding process is on course. If there is a gap between the old management committee departing and the new management team taking over, they will put a council officer in place to run the system.
It's not exactly a cast-iron guarantee, but it is positive news.

Antonio Machado Antonio Machado or, to give him his full name, Antonio Cipriano José María y Francisco de Santa Ana Machado Ruiz was one of Spain’s best-known poets. He is famous for his poetry describing the beauty of the Spanish countryside and also his love poems. He had his first poems published in 1901 and his first book of poetry in 1903.
